Awards Submission Guidelines

LOG-TANK AWARD

Rank/Grade: E5/GS7 and Below 

Prepare: 3-5-min video submission to AMCL outlining a new initiative that can be a service or product that the Marine Corps Leadership should adopt

Written Application: Short form with pertinent contact details and pitch outline submitted to AMCL group awards email address.

Personnel: 1 individual or a small group pitch the idea

Video played at the symposium and may be considered for publication via social media or press release.

The following categories are intended to be individual awards:

FUTURE LOGISTICS INITIATIVE ESSAY 

Competition Divisions: A: E5/G7 and Below, B: O1-O3/GS8-GS12/E6-E7 , C: E8/O4/GS13 and above 

Prepare: 1000-2000 Word Essay based on this year's specific prompt:

Choose one Line of Effort from I&L 2030 and communicate an action plan to accomplish by 2030

The essay awards will be determined by the awards board for content, relevance, and creativity. 

 

PROPOSAL TO SOLVE CURRENT DOD LOGISTICS PROBLEM

Competition Divisions:  A: E5/G7 and Below, B: O1-O3/GS8-GS12/E6-E7 , C: E8/O4/GS13 and above 
Prepare: No more than 1500 words via a formatted proposal document.  Can include DoD organic and non-organic solutions.

 

MARINE CORPS 2060: FICTIONAL SHORT STORY 

Competition Divisions:  A: E5/G7 and Below, B: O1-O3/GS8-GS12/E6-E7 , C: E8/O4/GS13 and above 
1500-3000 words
Write a short story to address Marine Corps logistics activities or sustainment architecture in 2060.  For context, include who are the main competitors, where the Marine Corps will be competing, and how we will be leveraging technology to gain an advantage on the battlefield.

Personnel: Individual

 

Innovation: Future Training or Business Partnership Proposal 

Rank/Grade: All ranks

Prepare: In no more than 1500 words, identify new training or public/private partnership opportunities that could support Marine Corps’ future warfighting concepts and discuss the mutual benefit and value of this partnership.

The rank/grades should be a reference point and are included as a guideline, but should not be viewed as a barrier.
